Summary

MobileFacebook allows you to update your Facebook status on the go. The application displays a count of your new pokes, invites, messages and friend requests. You can browse your friends and send them notifications. MobileFacebook also displays your upcoming events.

Extended Permissions

MobileFacebook contains a feature to update your online Facebook status at your preference. In order to this, MobileFacebook requires extended permission. MobileFacebook will attempt to set these permissions automatically. If MobileFacebook fails to set the permissions automatically, you can set them manually here.

Facebook HTTPS certificate

Facebook authentication uses HTTPS communication for security. However, on mobile devices this causes a problem because the root certificate used by Facebook is not provisioned on most devices by default. This means that secure HTTPS requests will fail. Luckily it is possible to work around this by downloading the root certificate and adding it to the device or by using the Proxy connection option. Should you wish to continue using the HTTPS option, the root certificates can be found at http://www.geotrust.com/resources/root_certificates/index.asp. From there, you will need to install the root certificate called "Root 5 - Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1." on your device.

Proxy

If you are unable to use the Https authentication, you may proxy via our server to log into Facebook. Once authenticated, you will be connected directly with Facebook until your session expires. If you decide to proxy, your personal information will not be recorded or stored on our servers.
